Curing The Ails

During a residency at The Hambidge Art Center in Rabun Gap, Georgia, I created a new body of work titled Curing The Ails. This work consisting of lumen photographs of plants and herbs used in traditional folklore medicine in the Appalachian region. These ephemeral, unfixed photogram images, mark both the fleeting seasonality of these species and the persistence of local healing knowledge.
